I’m going to need to reduce my workload this fall so one thing I’m contemplating is reducing the frequency of my posts and newsletters. As I began to consider this I realized that most of the comments from those who have unsubscribed (thankfully there have been few) is that there are too many emails. Then I began to wonder if more people feel this way and that this reduction might actually be appealing to more people. So I have two questions for you today.
First of all: Currently I post one recipe and send out one newsletter per week. Would you prefer only one item per week- alternating a new recipe with a newsletter topic?
Secondly: Maybe I overwhelm people right at the outset when they subscribe to my newsletter. I send a link for the bonus recipes, and then a segment of the four-part e-course once every four days (plus the regular weekly recipe and newsletter). I could see that this might feel a bit much to some. My husband suggested that I might just want to offer a link to the e-course in a single email. Or I could wait longer between each segment of the e-course.
I’d really appreciate any feedback on these questions as my simple goal is to provide help and encouragement (not to overwhelm folks!).
