Brownies or Fudge?

“Hey- this looks familiar!”  Yes- I’ve posted the recipe for these bars previously, but I’ve got a request for you regarding them.

I’ve got a new project in the works.  I haven’t arrived at a title for it yet (I’ll seek you all out for ideas on that later in the process!) but it is basically a week of wholesome eating recipes- 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 7 dinners, 7 snacks and desserts (basically a collection of our family’s favorites and staples)

PLUS

a video of a fruit smoothie demo

and a podcast of my “Introduction to Wholesome Eating” class.

It will be my first foray into the field of eproducts!

So- there are a couple of things I need some input on in preparing this.

First of all, if you tried the “No-Cook Grain-Free Brownies” that I posted a few weeks ago (here’s the link if you want to reference it).  I want to include them in this new recipe ebook and I’d love your input on a name for them.  Some people have commented that they’re more like fudge than brownies (which I tend to agree with- though not near as sweet as traditional fudge).

Some possibilities include
No-Cook Fudge

No-Cook Chocolaty Fudge

No-Cook Chocolaty Fudge Bars

No-Cook Fudge Bars (or Squares)

No-Cook Black Beauty Fudge

If you haven’t yet tried this recipe, I hope this request encourages you to (everyone that’s tried them has loved them).  And please be sure to get back to me with your recipe title suggestion.  I’ll send the person who offers the “winning” suggestion (or draw from those who voted for an existing suggestion) a set of the new ebook, video and podcast.  See, there is something in it for you!

I’ll make my next request on another day.

Thanks!

Name Suggestions: “No-Cook Fudgey Brownie Bars” or “5 Minute Fudgey Brownie Bars”.

They look sooo good! And I agree, “Is it fudge? Or a brownie? Fudge? Or brownie?” =) Thanks Kim!

  2. Linda Leech says:

Definitely fudge, not brownie. My grandchildren loved it! I’d call it:
Fudge to die live for! But draw a line through the word die… Just couldn’t do it in your comments section.

  3. Tina Palmer says:

I think they taste more like fudge. I keep them in the freezer and they remind me of fudge bars so I am voting to call the recipe “No Bake Fudge Bars”. I really like this recipe!

  4. Tracy McGonis says:

Mock chocolate fudge, I really do love this, I cut it into bite-size pieces and freeze it. I eat them in the frozen state, they’re great that way.

These bars taste delicious, but mine were gooey and hard to eat with your hands I tried freezing them and then putting them in the microwave for 2-5 seconds and it was better.

my family missed the crunchy taste and did not like gooey. grandchildren wouldn’t eat them because of the texture.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve entered you in the drawing. I like the “5 minute” concept!

  7. Kim Wilson says:

That’s really clever. I like it!

  8. Kim Wilson says:

Sounds like a lot of people like them straight out of the freezer. I’m going to have to try this. Thanks for the name suggestion- you’re entered in the drawing!

  9. Kim Wilson says:

They seem decadent, don’t they?- but you and I know how wholesome they are! Thanks for the title suggestion (and crockpot recipe!)- you’re entered in the drawing.

  10. Kim Wilson says:

I’m so sorry you had a disappointing experience with them. I hope you have better luck with other recipes. Thanks!

Just a thought Kim, but does it HAVE to be called a brownie? I added maybe a 1/4 cup extra of honey (because I went for the 3/4 cup cocoa instead of 1/2 cup, and it was too dark tasting without some extra sweetness), and everyone I’ve given it to says it is more like fudge than a brownie… texture and taste! Not sure if what I did made it more “rich”, like fudge, but (in my humble opinion) this seems more like a “5-Minute Raw Fudge” Recipe than a brownie! Just sayin’… =) (and yes… all of my “normal” eating friends were SHOCKED when I told them the ingredients… AFTER they loved it!) hahaha

  12. Laurie Adams says:

Name suggestion: No Cook No Guilt Fudge or No Cook Guilt Free Fudge

This stuff tastes so good that it fells like you shouldn’t be eating it but it has such wholesome ingredients and is such a healthy alternative to regular fudge.

  13. Kim Wilson says:

So many people have commented that they feel naughty eating them!

  14. Kim Wilson says:

These are some good thoughts. Sadly, I can’t call it “raw” because you begin with cooked beans- but I certainly can call them “no-cook”. Thanks!

  15. Carissa says:

So what was the final verdict???

  16. Kim Wilson says:

A wholesome collection of everyday favorites. My husband came up with it. Thanks for checking in!
